Various stakeholders from the different sectors gathered to attend the Project Sounding Board meeting of the “Recognition of Rights of the Indigenous Peoples in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao for their Empowerment and Sustainable Development” (IPDEV) Project held at Institute for Autonomy and Governance (IAG) Conference Hall, UMEX Building, Notre Dame University, Cotabato City on September 20, 2012. 6DPAO Deputy Chief Captain Aurora A. Rabang represented the Division in the meeting.

GMA News and Public Affairs shoots a documentary in Maguindanao
The GMA News and Public Affairs Team filmed a documentary on the political situation in Maguindanao in preparation for its coverage of the 2013 elections. Troops from 45th Infantry Battalion provided convoy security to the GMA Team as they moved from one place to another to do the actual shoot and interview footage.

NDCP researchers visit 6ID
Researchers from the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) visited the 6th Infantry Division purposely to gather data for their research project on “Communist Insurgency and MILF/MNLF Secessionist Movements in Mindanao” from 23-25 September 2012. The project is in aid of policy formulation on critical defense and security issues affecting national peace and security.
