6ID Kampilan Troopers led by their Commander, Maj Gen Rey C Ardo and family, battled the grueling terrain up to the highest peak in the Philippines, last 06-07 May 2012. Some Officers and enlisted personnel of 6ID together with the family of Commander, 6ID became the newest members of the long line of “Kampilan’s Apo Trekkers”. It was a long planned activity of the Command to climb Mount Apo this Summer 2012. The hectic activities of the Division had hampered its supposed schedule, last April. Finally last 06 to 07 May 2012, the long awaited trek was pursued.
