Camp Siongco, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao – Ms. Jenn Weidman, Deputy Director, The Rotary Peace Center at Chulalongkorn University based at Phatumwan, Bangkok, Thailand together with the member of the Rotary Peace Center, the International Monitoring Team and the CCH visited 6th Infantry Division and made courtesy call to BGen Edmundo R Pangilinan AFP, Commander 6th Infantry Division, Philippine Army with the G-Staffs.
The activity started at around 9:00 o’clock at the Kampilan Public Assistance Center (KPAC) and after which the venue was moved to Kamplian Lounge. During the activity, each and every member of the said organization was introduced and later on had an informal dialogue with BGen Edmundo R Pangilinan.
The 45IB, Executive Officer Major Abdulbasher D. Bongacarawan, presented updates on the current peace and order situation in the unit’s area of responsibility. He also emphasized the adherence of the gallant troopers on the International humanitarian law and the rule of law in conducting internal security operations and law enforcement operations.
The Rotary Peace Center at Chulalongkorn University provides a three-month professional development program twice a year to individuals currently working in fields related to peace building and conflict resolutions. The said institution is organizing the class 17 of Rotary Peace Fellows for a field study on Mindanao Peace Process.
The said undertaking culminated at around 12:00 o’clock by picture takings of all the delegates together with the Commanding General and his G-Staff.
