Brig General Ademar T. Tomaro, the former Commander of the Army’s 602nd Brigade based in North Cotabato, visited 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division, in Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao on 31 March 2014.
Military honors was tendered to him by the Kampilan troops upon arrival. During the ceremony, Brig General Tomaro was received by Chief of Staff Colonel Roseller G. Murillo. He was warmly welcomed by the 6ID Commander Maj General Romeo L. Gapuz along with his Chief of Staff, the General, Special and Technical Staff and Commanders of Post and Tenant Units.
After the refreshment, the former 602nd Brigade Commander together with the officers headed by Maj General Gapuz proceeded at the grandstand where Kampilan troopers eagerly awaits him. Brig General Tomaro was given time to share valuable insights to the men of 6ID since he is known as a good mentor who greatly enjoys teaching.
In his message, he encouraged the Kampilan troops to be winners in every struggle that comes across. Brig General Tomaro even expounded the meaning of the word winner basing from his personal experiences. Everyone was indeed motivated and that instigated applaud from the 6ID troops.
After the humorous and intelligent talk to men of Brig General Tomaro, a simple lunch was shared at the Hall of Flags and was subsequently followed by the conferring of memento by Maj General Gapuz.
