CAMP SUMABAT, Makilala, North Cotabato -- A total of 62 community-based organizing teams from Task Force Bayanihan gained positive responses from the local communities in their efforts to drive away the communist insurgents in the towns of Makilala and Tulunan, said the local commander here.
“The joint efforts of the military and the local stakeholders are finally bringing the insurgency problem in Makilala and Tulunan to an end,” said Lt. Col. Bernie S, Langub, commander of 57IB.
TF Bayanihan is composed of teams from the 57IB, 68IB, 40IB, 7IB, 27IB and 39IB under the command of the 602Bde commander, Brig. Gen. Alejandro H. Estomo, assisted by the 1002Bde commander, Col. Rainer Cruz.
The key factors in this approach are the actual participation of the LGUs and NGAs in the development of the local communities and the dedication and discipline of our soldiers, the 57IB commander added. The task force was organized by the Eastern Mindanao Command. #
